There are four exhaust vents installed at the rear. The lower vents are short-circuiting the ventilation system as they are acting as intake.

The Challenge

The Client contacted Mr. Roof Repair because they have some moisture coming in through the bathroom vent.

The Solution

Mr. Roof Repairs Roofing Specialist (RS) Team confirmed that the moisture is a result of condensation within the attic space. They noted that while there is sufficient air intake from the soffits, some of the exhaust vents were installed incorrectly.

There are four exhaust vents on the rear of the home that had been installed in a box pattern. This is a problem because the upper vents are pulling air from the lower vents instead of the soffits, which was completely disrupting the flow of air through the system.

It was recommended that the two lower box vents be removed from the roof, in order to correct the ventilation system. A quote was provided to this effect. The quote was accepted and work commenced.
