Shingles cracked and need to be replaced.

The Challenge

The Client contacted Mr. Roof Repair because they had their roof done 12-14 years ago but have had issues since the beginning. The roof is looking quite worn in areas. They also noticed an area in a closet that is showing mold, which is located at the right side of the home at the second floor slope. They requested a detailed assessment of the roof.

The Solution

Mr. Roof Repair’s Roofing Specialist (RS) Team determined that the shingles are in poor condition and need to be replaced. The ridge and hip capping is worn through to the roof deck, has exposed fasteners and is overexposed. The field shingles are curling, cracking and balding (granular loss), have algae growth and there are nails popping out of the roof deck. They also found that the ventilation system is suffering as a result of undervented soffits and inadequate air intake as well as a mixture of exhaust vents that are rendering the ventilation system inefficient.
