The Challenge

The Client approached Mr. Roof Repair with concerns about a leak coming from their skylights.

The Solution

Mr. Roof Repairs Roofing Specialist (RS) Team determined that the seal around the skylights had failed and this was allowing water to leak into the home, through the units.

It was also noted that the flat roof was in poor condition as well. The membrane was separating in some areas, and the granules had also worn off of the membrane. There were also indications of ponding water throughout the roof. While walking on the flat roof, the RS Team had also noted that the roof deck was soft in some areas which is an indication that water has migrated under the membrane and saturated the wood.

It was recommended that the skylights and the surrounding flat roof be replaced as soon as it was possible. A quote was provided to this effect. The quote was accepted and work commenced.
