The Challenge

The Client approached Mr. Roof Repair with concerns over a leak coming in the back of their home.

The Solution

Mr. Roof Repair’s Roofing Specialist (RS) Team determined the leak was the result of nails in the key lines and popping out of the shingles at the end of the valley. The RS Team extended the step flashing in the leak area and replaced the shingles that had holes in them.

The RS Team also performed a full attic and roof assessment and found:

  • The ventilation system is suffering as a result of undervented soffits and inadequate air intake
  • The flat roof is in poor condition as it is wrinkled and cracked and it needs to be replaced now
  • There are low levels of insulation and no vapour barrier
